Visual Connections has taken full ownership of the PacPrint brand and assets after acquiring the remaining stake previously held by the Visual Media Association, a move that ends a long-standing joint venture and positions the organisation to shape the show's future direction. PacPrint, one of the most significant print and packaging expos in Australia and New Zealand, has been operated by Visual Connections for many years, and the association said sole ownership will allow greater agility as trade-show models continue to evolve.
Karren Challoner-Miles, CEO of Visual Connections, said the decision reflects confidence in the relevance of industry expos and their role in supporting business growth. She noted that trade shows under the PacPrint and Visual Impact banners have proven their value as platforms for technology discovery, education, and commercial engagement. “We know that industry expos need to evolve to deliver strong ROI for exhibitors while providing visitors with the information, ideas, inspiration, and connections they need to build their business success,” she said. “That’s always been our primary focus as the show’s organiser, and will continue to be so under our ownership.”
With complete control of the PacPrint brand, Visual Connections plans to adjust formats, introduce new features, and explore expansion opportunities. Challoner-Miles said the added flexibility will enable the association to align the event with changing market expectations while continuing to collaborate with VMA and other industry groups. The goal is to maintain a unified platform that serves the sector’s diverse needs, from commercial print and packaging to signage, labels, and graphic communications.
PacPrint remains a central meeting point for suppliers and buyers across the region. The most recent edition, held in 2025 at Sydney Olympic Park, was co-located with the Visual Impact Expo and Label & Packaging Expo, creating a consolidated destination for technology, applications, and sector-wide insight. Under full ownership, Visual Connections is expected to refine and expand the event model, ensuring PacPrint continues to support investment decisions, product launches, and education for businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
