WKS Group Continues to Invest in Heidelberg Technology

The WKS Group is reinforcing its position as a commercial print powerhouse with the installation of two Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 presses at its Felsberg site. This move is part of a strategic transformation to establish a center of excellence for sheetfed offset printing. The new generation presses—an XL 106-8-P and an XL 106-8-P+L—are equipped with fourth-generation CutStar sheeters and AI-assisted Push to Stop functionality for largely autonomous production. These upgrades reflect WKS’s ongoing push for higher efficiency, flexibility, and digital integration across its magazine, brochure, and periodical output.

Heidelberg continues to solidify its role as a full-range provider, delivering not just equipment, but integrated solutions from prepress to postpress. Dr. Ralph Dittmann, Managing Director at WKS Group, praised the technology and partnership: “The complete portfolio and customer focus of HEIDELBERG remain an example to our sector and have once again won us over.” This investment also underscores Heidelberg’s strategy to enable industrial printers to transition to autonomous workflows and maximize value across the production chain.
