EPS, a division of the Xaar Group, has named Tom Bertke as Sales Manager for the Xaar Versatex Printbar in North America. With over three decades of capital equipment sales experience, 25 of which have been focused on inkjet technology, Bertke brings a strong background in digital solutions across packaging, labeling, and industrial print sectors. His appointment reflects EPS’s ongoing efforts to expand adoption of digital embellishment technologies in the region.
The Xaar Versatex Printbar, already in use among European OEMs and distributors, is now available in the U.S. market. It offers high-speed, high-opacity UV digital printing for tactile effects, security features, and variable data, and is driven by Xaar’s Nitrox printheads and High Laydown technology. The system is designed to integrate into existing analog and hybrid lines with a compact footprint and modular configuration. This positions converters to expand capabilities like white ink on dark or clear substrates, streamline short-run embellishment, and reduce energy and material waste—making it a viable screen and flexo alternative.
