Xerox Re-Enters Cut-Sheet Inkjet Market with Kyocera Partnership

Xerox Holdings Corporation has announced a new strategic agreement with Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. to source high-speed cut-sheet inkjet presses, marking Xerox’s return to the rapidly growing cut-sheet inkjet (CSIJ) market. The move significantly expands Xerox’s production print portfolio, positioning the company to better serve evolving demands for speed, flexibility, and cost-efficiency in color inkjet production. Under the agreement, Xerox will integrate Kyocera’s press technology with its own FreeFlow® Workflow Automation Software, finishing capabilities, and remote service into a robust end-to-end production solution.

The partnership reflects Xerox’s reinvention strategy, focused on high-value, growth-oriented segments of the production print market. Analysts at IT Strategies project CSIJ unit installations to grow at more than 13% CAGR through 2030, signaling a strong opportunity. The addition of these new inkjet presses complements existing Xerox flagship offerings such as the Iridesse® Production Press, Versant® Presses, and PrimeLink® line—enabling Xerox to capture broader customer needs across application types and production volumes.

The new Xerox-branded cut-sheet inkjet presses will be available later this year and supported by Xerox’s global service and integration expertise. “This is a pivotal moment for our production print business,” said Terry Antinora, SVP and Head of Product and Engineering at Xerox. “We’re not just entering a new segment—we’re delivering a differentiated ecosystem that empowers print providers to scale profitably with greater automation and a lower total cost of ownership.”
