Xitron Sees Strong Momentum for K2 Workflow as Commercial Printers Replace Aging Systems

Xitron, a subsidiary of Hybrid Software and developer of the Harlequin-based Navigator RIP and workflow solutions, announced a wave of successful installations of its next-generation K2 prepress workflow across North America and Europe. Commercial print providers are replacing legacy systems like Kodak Prinergy, Fujifilm XMF, Rampage, and Sierra with K2 to modernize operations and gain long-term cost stability through perpetual licensing.

The new K2 workflow is designed for commercial offset and hybrid environments, offering browser-based job submission, streamlined process control, and modules optimized for digital and offset output. Customers have embraced the intuitive interface and compatibility with current operating systems, as well as the clear rejection of mandatory software subscriptions. “In almost all instances, customers mentioned the perpetual license as an important consideration,” said Karen Crews, President of Xitron.

With up to eight K2 systems installed per month in North America alone and certified dealers actively supporting customers in Europe and Latin America, Xitron expects adoption to continue at pace. The company invites printers to schedule a demo and explore how K2 can simplify operations, cut training time, and future-proof their prepress workflows.
